About Us

Beulah’s Bunch is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to providing experiential education, leadership development, and cultural immersion for underserved youth (ages 7-15). Founded on the belief that hands-on learning and real-world exposure can shape young minds in profound ways, Beulah’s Bunch ensures that children gain mentorship, confidence-building experiences, and knowledge beyond classroom settings.

Beulah’s Bunch exists to share love and open doors for underserved youth through free, hands-on learning experiences that go far beyond the classroom.

Our Story

Founded in 2024, Beulah’s Bunch was born from a deep commitment to providing educational experiences for children from low-income families who might otherwise miss out on the joys and benefits of summer camp. Our founder, driven by a passion for creating accessible learning opportunities, envisioned a place where every child could discover new talents, build confidence, and enjoy new experiences.

Named in honor of our founder’s grandmother, who always prioritized providing love and experiences to her loved ones and community despite limited financial resources, our camp embodies her spirit of generosity and support. Her unwavering dedication and nurturing guidance helped many achieve success, and her legacy continues to inspire us today.

Our mission is to empower every child with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to reach their full potential. Through our programs, we aim to nurture creativity, foster a sense of adventure, and build a supportive community that celebrates learning and imagination.

Meet Our Founder & President

Beulah’s Bunch was founded in 2024 by Mackenzie Brown to honor the legacy of their grandmother, Beulah, a youth counselor who made every child feel at home. What began as a heartfelt tribute has grown into a joyful, free summer camp focused on belonging, fun, and care for kids who need it most.

Raised in a family of educators and nonprofit leaders, Mackenzie grew up in Charleston, SC, surrounded by examples of service. Her mother is a teacher, her father works to end youth violence through music, and Mackenzie spent years tutoring before becoming a business analyst. Beulah’s Bunch brings all those threads together.

As Founder and President, Mackenzie leads the camp with intention and heart, making sure every detail reflects the love it was built on.

Be a part of the Movement!

Beulah’s Bunch exists to share love and open doors for underserved youth through free, hands-on learning experiences that go far beyond the classroom. We create spaces where kids can play, explore, and grow—building confidence, creativity, and real-world skills through leadership, cultural enrichment, and joyful adventure.

We believe that exposure changes everything. With the right support and opportunities, every child can dream bigger and reach higher. But we can’t do it alone. Behind every breakthrough is a volunteer, a mentor, a supporter—someone like you who chooses to show up, give back, and be part of something bigger. Join us in breaking cycles, building futures, and creating a movement fueled by compassion, action, and possibility. Together, we’re not just running a camp—we’re changing lives.
